Barclays Premier League
The 2010-11 Barclays Premier League is the nineteenth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The 2010-11 fixtures were released on 17 June 2010 at 09:00 BST. The season began on 14 August 2010 and will conclude on 22 May 2011. Chelsea are the defending champions.
 

The Football League
The Football League is a league competition featuring professional association football clubs from England and Wales. It was the top level football league in England from its foundation in the 19th century until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split away to form the Premier League.

Carling Cup
The Football League Cup, commonly known as the League Cup or, from current sponsorship, the Carling Cup, is an English football competition. Like the FA Cup, it is played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. Only the Premier League and Football League teams can enter the competition.

RFL
The Rugby Football League (RFL) is the governing body for professional rugby league football in Britain and Ireland. Based at Red Hall in Leeds, it administers the England national rugby league team, the Challenge Cup, Super League and the Rugby League Championships.

IRFU
The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) is the body managing rugby union in Ireland. The IRFU has its head office and grounds at Aviva Stadium, where Irish rugby union international matches are played. In addition, the Union also owns Ravenhill in Belfast, Thomond Park in Limerick.

NFL
The National Football League (NFL) is the highest level of professional American football in the United States. It was formed by eleven teams in 1920 with the league changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The league currently consists of thirty-two teams from the United States.

Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup (officially the Ryder Cup Matches) is a golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is jointly administered by the PGA of America and the PGA European Tour, and is contested every two years, the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe.

SPL
The Scottish Premier League (SPL, currently known as the Clydesdale Bank Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top level of the Scottish football league system, above the Scottish Football League.

The Heineken Cup is one of two annual rugby union competitions organised by European Rugby Cup involving leading club, regional and provincial teams from six International Rugby Board (IRB) countries in Europe: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.

Six Nations Championship
The Six Nations Championship[a] (referred to as RBS 6 Nations for sponsorship reasons) is an annual international rugby union competition involving six European sides: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. France won the 2010 title on 20 March, completing their Grand Slam.
